Effects of imidacloprid, dichlorvos, pymetrozine and abamectin, on life table parameters of the predatory bug, Orius albidipennis (Hemiptera: Anthocoridae)
Authors
Abstract:

effects of imidacloprid, dichlorvos, pymetrozine and abamectin, on life table parameters of the predatory bug, orius albidipennis (hemiptera: anthocoridae)
effects of four pesticides (imidacloprid, dichlorvos, pymetrozine and abamectin) were evaluated on life table parameters of orius albidipennis (reuter). pesticides were used at the concentrations recommended by the manufacturers. the bioassays were carried out using drum-cell method, in a growth chamber at 27 â± 1âºc, r.h. of 65 â± 5% and 16 h photo phase. the net reproductive rate (r0) value f...

a 'worst case' laboratory method was employed for evaluating total effect of four pesticides (imidacloprid, dichlorvos, pymetrozine and abamectin) on the nymphs mortality and adults reproduction in orius albidipennis reuter (hemiptera: anthocoridae). the bioassays were carried out in laboratory using drum cell method, under controlled conditions of: 27±1?c, rh of 65±5% and 16-h photo ...
full textinfluence of three diets on some biological characteristics of predatory bug orius albidipennis (hemiptera: anthocoridae)
the developmental period, prey consumption of different nymph instars, survival, reproduction and longevity of orius albidipennis were studied on three different diets including the two-spotted spider mite, tetranychus urticae plus corn pollen; two-spotted spider mite; and eggs of sitotroga cerealella plus corn pollen under laboratory conditions. leaves of pelargonium hortom served as ovipositi...
full textOptimization an Optimal Artificial Diet for the Predatory Bug Orius sauteri (Hemiptera: Anthocoridae)
BACKGROUND The flower bug Orius sauteri is an important polyphagous predator that is widely used for the biological control of mites and aphids. However, the optimal conditions for mass rearing of this insect are still unclear, thus limiting its application. METHODOLOGY In this study, we investigated the optimal ingredients of an artificial diet for raising O. sauteri using a microencapsulati...
full texttoxicity effects of abamectin, spinosad and chlorpyrifos on predatory bug orius albidipennis reuter in laboratory and greenhouse conditions
orius albidipennis reuter is an important predator of economic pests in greenhouse. in this studu, investigations were performed on toxicity values of abamectin, spinosad and chlorpyrifos in laboratory (petri dish) and greenhouse (clip cage) conditions. lc50 and lc90 values were determined to both sexes, male and female, by using sas software, and comparisons were made according to ratio of lc5...
full textNutritional manipulation of adult female Orius pumilio (Hemiptera: Anthocoridae) enhances initial predatory performance.
Commercial shipments of Orius spp. (Hemiptera: Anthocoridae) commonly include water and protein, the latter typically supplied by eggs from a moth such as Ephestia kuehniella (Zeller). To determine whether modified dietary conditions might improve predation, newly eclosed adult female Orius pumilio (Champion) were fed on E. kuehniella eggs plus encapsulated water, encapsulated 5% sucrose soluti...
